You’re not the first to hesitate before talking to someone about it. And you don’t have to deal with it alone.
AVIF is a team of trained professionals here to help you do things differently. Without violence.
Like many men
This may explain some of your behaviours, but it doesn’t excuse them. It’s up to you to choose to do things differently. We’re here to support you.
You call us. We listen to what you’re going through.
Together, we assess your needs
We identify the approach best suited to your situation
Need urgent help?
If your situation is urgent, we’ll direct you to the right resources. Otherwise, we have the tools to support you at your own pace.
contact
Monday to Thursday: 9am to 5pm
Friday: 9am to 12pm
Calling outside these hours? Leave a message. We’ll call you back.
Is it really free?
Yes, completely. No fees, no surprises.
What if it’s an emergency?
AVIF is not a crisis service. For immediate help, contact Maison sous les arbres at 1-855-450-699-5935 or the suicide prevention and support line at 1-866-APPELLE (277-3553). Both services are available 24/7.
What happens on first contact?
A phone call. We briefly discuss your situation and your needs, then schedule a meeting based on availability.
Do you offer services in English?
Individual follow-up is available in English. Groups are currently offered in French only.
Can I get information without committing to anything?
A call is just a call. Being willing to take the first step is enough.
Contact us directly.

Essential support
Thanks to the financial support of the Secrétariat à la condition féminine, this campaign can reach men across the region and show them that free, confidential help exists close to home.
You’ll speak with a trained professional who’s there to listen, not to judge.
Confidential. Free. No judgment.
